Review: All That Was Promised

All That Was Promised
In 1847 Wales young Methodist Minister Richard Kenyon converts to Mormonism. Richard's newfowund faith is put to the test as he faces down the anger of his former congregation, his wife's indecisiveness, the betrayal of his brother, and the murderous intentions of misinformed villagers.

My Take:
For all those fans of LDS historical fiction, here's another installment. Set among the background of 1840s Wales, Vickie Hall's new book tells the conversion of a Methodist minister to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Early members of the Church experience healing miracles admist the horrors of mob violence, repentance and forgiveness despite familial jealousy and betrayal. It's a great Sunday afternoon read and a touching reminder of the blessings of the gospel in our lives made possible through our Savior Jesus Christ and the sacrifice of others brave enough to suffer for their faith.
