Review: Lay Me Down by Tamara Hart Heiner

Lay Me Down by Tamara Hart Heiner

Book Description:

Life is more than just breathing.

Kylee Mansfield knows what it is to be alone. Her dad left when she was seven, and her mother remarried an abusive alcoholic. Kylee finds ways to escape reality, usually by substituting one pain for another.

Things take a deadly turn when a jagged cut shows up on her arm, and she doesn't know where it came from. She enlists her neighbor, Price Hudson, to help her uncover the truth. But Price shows her much more than just her past—he shows her what it is to be alive.

My Thoughts:

I did it again. I stepped away momentarily from my clean romance and women's fiction to read a YA, and this book was worth it. Not your typical contemporary YA, this book combined a touch of mystery with a smattering of paranormal. I have enjoyed some of Tamara Hart Heiner's other books before, but this one has to be my favorite to date. Bone chilling with just the right amount of keep-the-lights-on-at-night thrilling, this is a book that can be enjoyed by pretty much anyone at any age.

Lay Me Down is available in eBook and Paperback exclusively at Amazon.
